Liberation Day and a quick chat with the Countess of Wessex
Updated: May 11
In glorious sunshine our guests had superb seats to enjoy the Liberation 77 celebrations attended by the Earl and Countess of Wessex. Everyone enjoyed a highly moving service and the delivery by the Duke of Wessex of a message from the Queen in her Jubillee year.
As they exited the stage, Sophie, Countess of Wessex stopped to speak to our guests clearly identifiable in the H4HJ shirts. It was a wonderful end to a memorable morning,
Everyone who attended was amazed at the number of Islanders attending, the moving speeches and the wonderful finale where various organisations marched pass the Pomme D'Or Hotel where the Island was liberated.
Thank to one of our guests, Sophie for these excellent pictures
